Residence Student Council

Queen’s has a rich and historic tradition of student governance. Student government in Residence is responsible for representing residents' concerns, providing a wide range of entertainment services, organizing events, developing new leaders and playing an important role in upholding our community standards.

The main campus residences are governed by the Main Campus Residents' Council (MCRC). The MCRC consists of an elected Executive, 11 elected House Presidents and 40 appointed Residence Facilitators.

The Jean Royce Hall Council (JRHC) is the governing student body for Jean Royce Hall, Harkness International Hall and the Graduate Residence. The JRHC is composed of an Executive President, 3 elected House Presidents, the Administrative Coordinator and 3 Residence Facilitators.
